Kinship Month is a generally lively month-long celebration of June devoted to strengthening bonds of friendship and community within Druwayu. Held during the vibrant days of June, this festival embraces the spirit of togetherness, humor, and joy that defines Druwayu philosophy. It’s a time to honor the connections between individuals and create lasting memories through shared laughter, creativity, and camaraderie. The festival is filled with activities and traditions that highlight the beauty of friendship:
Acts of Kinship and Kindness
Each week of June is dedicated to an “Act of Kinship,” where participants engage in activities to uplift and appreciate their friends. These could include:
Gift-Giving Week: Exchange humorous or heartfelt gifts, crafted to spark joy or reflect shared memories.
Storytelling Week: Share stories of friendship, whether funny, inspiring, or utterly absurd, celebrating the bonds that bring people closer.
Kindness Week: Perform anonymous acts of kindness within the community to build goodwill and positivity.
Adventure Week: Organize group adventures, from playful scavenger hunts to creative role-playing games, designed to forge stronger bonds.
Since there are 30 days in the month of June and these 4 weeks only cover 28, the First Day of June is dedicated to helping others clean up their homes or property, especially the elderly and disabled and their families. This may also include helping with simple things as helping them catch up on their bills and pay off outstanding debts with funds raised for these specific purposes. The last day is dedicated to cleaning up and repairing abandoned cemeteries to honor the dead and to keep them from being completely forgotten and if possible. It does not matter if these are Cemeteries of people from other religions. All such places are respected according to our customs.
Other Features
Kinship Circles: Throughout the month, participants gather in “Kinship Circles,” small group discussions or activities that bring people together to reflect on their friendships. These gatherings could involve sharing laughter, support, or even engaging in parody-driven games that celebrate the quirks of each participant.
Friendship Parades: Communities host vibrant parades filled with floats, music, and costumes that celebrate the unique bonds of friendship. Each parade culminates in a joyful gathering where participants sing, dance, and revel in the connections they’ve built.
Druish Friendship Chains: As a collective project, the community creates a massive chain of paper or fabric links, with each link representing an individual’s expression of gratitude for their friends. This growing chain serves as a visual representation of the unity and strength of the Druwayu community.
Evening Lantern Walks: On select evenings, friends gather for glowing lantern walks under the night sky. This serene yet whimsical activity celebrates the guiding light that friendship brings to life.
The point of the June Kinship Festival is a celebration of joy, connection, and Druwayu’s commitment to fostering relationships through humor and reflection between Druans and non-Druans alike. However, we are not foolish and recognize those who refuse to peacefully co-exist and seek to impose themselves on everyone else. Such as those we do not welcome to these festivities. It’s a month to cherish old friendships, create new ones, and build a stronger, more vibrant community.

Warlocks and Witches Appreciation Day is an annual celebration held on August 17th, chosen not at random but as a symbolic moment within the calendar to embrace the playful and whimsical spirit of Druwayu. May, a month often overlooked in terms of major holidays, blooms with the creativity and renewal of spring, making it the perfect time for this lighthearted and fantastical event. The day honors the "indispensable contributions" of Warlocks and Witches in addressing humanity’s "most pressing challenges"—from fending off intergalactic cow thefts to restoring balance to the cosmos. The celebration thrives on humor and parody, encouraging Druwayu members to connect through laughter, storytelling, and joyful creativity.
Activities on August 17th might include:
Magical Attire Extravaganza: Participants don their best robes, pointy hats, and accessories, competing for the most enchanting or hilariously outlandish outfit.
Food and Drinks: Can have various drinks with things like Dry Ice to make them "bubble and smoke" and various foods not all that unlike found during Halloween observations.
Workshops of Wonder: Tongue-in-cheek training sessions prepare attendees for hypothetical battles against "Illegal Space Aliens" or how to "restore cosmic equilibrium."
Mock Pseudo-Scientific Presentations: Charting the "unmistakable correlations" between declining witchcraft, natural disasters, and other wild claims as a satirical nod to exaggerated rhetoric.
Humorous Propaganda Projects: Members create posters, skits, or videos that showcase the "importance" of Warlocks and Witches in saving the world—infused with festive cheer and a touch of the absurd.
This day serves a larger purpose within the Druwayu ethos: transforming rigid ideologies and needless paranoia into opportunities for shared laughter and reflection. Through its playful events, Warlocks and Witches Appreciation Day fosters connection, creativity, and community joy, all while reminding everyone to approach life with a sense of wonder and humor. May 17th is more than just a date; it’s a celebration of the magic in self-parody, open conversations, and shared humanity.

The Alternative Suggestion
Warlocks and Witches Pride Month suggested for the month of August; serves as both a playful parody of stereotypical representations and a heartfelt tribute to the Druwayu clergy who carry these distinguished titles. By blending humor and respect, this month highlights the importance of embracing creativity and dismantling rigid ideologies, while also honoring the vital role of these leaders within the community.
Through parody, the celebration challenges exaggerated portrayals of Warlocks and Witches often seen in popular culture, reframing them in a way that sparks laughter and reflection. This playful approach helps the Druwayu community to question stereotypes and explore the deeper meanings behind these titles. At the same time, the month is a meaningful acknowledgment of the clergy's contributions to fostering open dialogue about the connection of these titles for clergy within the Druwayu faith. Festivities during Warlocks and Witches Pride Month might include:
Cultural Parodies: Lighthearted reenactments or skits that humorously exaggerate stereotypes while also offering insight into the true significance of Warlocks and Witches.
Tributes and Recognition: Special ceremonies or gatherings that honor Druwayu clergy for their guidance and service, highlighting their unique role in the community’s spiritual journey.
Community Events: Creative workshops, storytelling festivals, and magical-themed activities that unite the community while celebrating the whimsical and meaningful aspects of these titles.
Movie Nights: Having an area set up with movies having various themes in regard to Warlocks and Witches as Watch Parties.
Creating a Virtual World/Game Environment: For those who want to interact with others but for whatever reason cannot attend in person, the community can help with the development and funding of creating a virtual world and a dedicated set of servers where people can use their virtual personas/avatars and share in the festivities remotely, and stream content through the virtual spaces.
By embracing parody alongside genuine respect, Warlocks and Witches Pride Month transforms these iconic figures from mere caricatures into symbols of both humor and honor. It fosters a spirit of joy and connection while ensuring the clergy's work is celebrated within the rich tapestry of Druwayu's philosophy.
Positioning it in August could also allow for creative outdoor events, like moonlit gatherings, magical fairs, or storytelling festivals. The month’s quieter holiday calendar ensures that this celebration stands out, giving Druwayu members a chance to embrace their pride and humor without competing with other major festivities. Druish Pride Month, celebrated annually in September, is a vibrant and empowering time for adherents of Druwayu to embrace their shared identity while celebrating the humor and creativity that define the faith. Feast of the 9th Moon:
This is an exuberant, month-long celebration rooted in feasting, merriment, and the whimsical ethos of Druwayu. Observed over the course of the 9th moon’s cycle—from the first Waxing Crescent to the final Waning Crescent—the feast is a time for indulgence, connection, and unrestrained joy. It embraces the Druwayu tradition of turning solemnity on its head and adding flair to its parody-driven observations. Inspired by many such ancient observances, the feast is characterized by its vibrant energy and a lively spirit of communal celebration. Here’s what makes Feast of the 9th Moon uniquely spectacular where men and woman may wear costumes with moon themes, especially crescents, and crescent shaped horned crowns:
Moonlit Feasting: Every evening, participants gather under the shimmering glow of the moon for grand feasts featuring abundant dishes, fantastical desserts shaped like crescents and stars, and exotic beverages. The focus is on indulgence, with culinary creations that ignite joy and creativity.
Lunar Dance Revelry: Nights are filled with music, dancing, and singing as participants celebrate their own interpretations of celestial-inspired choreography. Glow-in-the-dark costumes and accessories create a kaleidoscopic display under the night sky.
Street Carnivals: Communities hold parades and street celebrations, complete with music, performers dressed as cosmic characters, and vibrant decorations inspired by the lunar cycle. Humor reigns supreme, with floats and costumes parodying stereotypical depictions of cosmic lore.
Song of the Moon Competition: A singing showcase where participants perform songs inspired by various mythical associations with the moon and its influences — whether heartfelt ballads or over-the-top comedic numbers (such as in the case of terms like mooning someone). The community votes for the most amusing or memorable act. Various kinds of Moon shaped cakes can also be included as part of these observances.
Cosmic Game Nights: High-energy games and competitions add excitement to the festivities, including moon-themed obstacle courses and treasure hunts for "lunar relics."
The Great Cosmic Exchange: A community-wide gifting tradition where participants exchange humorous or whimsical items inspired by the moon and stars. The gifts are meant to spark joy and laughter.
Glow Nights: Grand evening parties featuring glowing decorations, luminous drinks, and costumes that celebrate the moon’s cycle in cosmic fashion. These events are filled with laughter, music, and revelry. Additional decorations may include white flowers.
The Feast of the 9th Moon is a shining beacon of Druwayu’s ideals—celebrating life, community, and creativity while challenging rigid traditions with humor and open-hearted celebration. It’s a time to feast instead of fast, sing instead of staying silent, and dance in defiance of solemnity, all with the moon as a playful guiding light. Because it is based more on a lunar calendar, its days will shift from year to year.
Its significance, as far as concepts go, is to enhance the sense that life and spirituality are intertwined, not separate, and renewal of faith since 9 is also often associated with the concept of birth and therefore in a sense a renewal of an appreciation for life and wild nature unhindered by foolish or useless ideologies, and allowing Druans to grow closer together and strengthen our mutual bonds and appreciation for what is considered a gift from the One and Three since they are, as expressed in the teachings and concepts of Druwayu, are reflected in and through nature and the universe. By proxy it also strengths our indirect relationships with the One and Three. Note: it's also been suggested that the Feast of the 9th moon be observed in September, since September is the 9th Month and starting with the first crescent that appears in September for 9 days total for this particular celebration. Druwayu Founding Day is a day to celebrate connection, humor, and the shared values that brought the community together. It is an opportunity to honor the past, revel in the present, and imagine a future filled with laughter, creativity and general peaceful coexistence by the efforts of the people, and not some outside force in recognition it's our responsibility, individually and collectively if we merely survive or thrive or ultimately parish. This can also be considered as an extension of the celebration of Founder's Day held on the 10 of January.

A Suggested Flag for this Observance

As to the Founding Day flag, since it occurs on the 1st of October, it has the Pentacle in the center of which has the face often used on Jack-O-Lanterns (once being Turnips but in the USA especially is now a Pumpkin). The traditional main colors of Pumpkin Orange and Yellow with Black representing Night as the theme of the season is the basis for the color coding. As usual, the flag designs remain within a set of 3 primary colors and no lettering and tries to keep any symbols relevant and easy to re-create, even by a child.
