Dear Members of Congress,
A Commitment to Secular Education and Constitutional Integrity
We unequivocally affirm our commitment to preserving the principles of secular education and the separation of church and state, as enshrined in the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. We will not tolerate religious extremism or any violations of this fundamental principle within our public institutions, particularly in classrooms.
The classroom must remain a sanctuary for impartial education, free from the imposition of religious or ideological beliefs. The First Amendment shall not and should not be abused or twisted by those who seek to pervert it.
To this end, we assert that no religious or ideological symbols, practices, or representations should be present in public school classrooms, with the following exceptions: the American Flag, the Pledge of Allegiance, and the tune for the Star-Spangled Banner. These symbols and practices are not affiliated with any particular religion but serve as representations of our shared national identity and the values of liberty, unity, and democracy.
We must recognize that the First Amendment contains both the Establishment Clause and the Free Exercise Clause. These clauses collectively ensure that the government neither establishes a particular religion nor inhibits the free exercise of individual beliefs. In alignment with rulings such as Lemon v. Kurtzman (1971), which established the “Lemon Test,” public institutions must adhere to these guiding principles:
The primary purpose of policies or actions must be secular.
They must neither advance nor inhibit religion.
They must avoid excessive entanglement between government and religion.
Allowing religious or ideological representations in classrooms, such as displays of the Ten Commandments or other preferential symbols, undermines these constitutional protections. Furthermore, such practices distort the foundational premise of religious neutrality and risk promoting exclusionary narratives.
As James Madison, one of the chief architects of the Constitution, stated, “The purpose of separation of church and state is to keep forever from these shores the ceaseless strife that has soaked the soil of Europe with blood for centuries.” Thomas Jefferson’s metaphorical “wall of separation between church and state” remains an essential safeguard of freedom in a pluralistic society.
By respecting these principles, we uphold our collective commitment to ensuring that public education serves all students equally, fostering an environment of inclusivity, fairness, and intellectual exploration untainted by religious or ideological imposition. Let our classrooms remain spaces for education—not indoctrination. This is a matter of preserving both constitutional integrity and the harmonious coexistence of diverse beliefs within our nation.
However, we will not tolerate the imposing of Islam as it is the right to the United States of America to ban religious practices that violate the basic civil liberties protected by the US Constitution and such activities that promote violence for which Islam has mutated into from its origins over the centuries. Islam is not the religion of peace. It is not a religion of tolerance. It is a religion of extremism, intolerance, slavery and murder. It has proven that everywhere it has been allowed to root and fester.
We demand on behalf of all others, including Jews, Christians, Hindus, Buddhists and many, many more, including Atheists that Islam is banned completely within the United States because it is opposed to the very spirit of the First Amendment and its various leaders have stated as much openly and repeatedly. Get it out of this country and declare it for what it is: A destructive global cult with more in common with Satanism and Nazi religious movements like the order of the Black Sun and more. Do not allow this country to fall because of cowardice to stand against such regimes.
Ban them permanently for they are no better and, in many cases, no different in their actions like those of the Rajneesh movement, destructive cults like Heaven's Gate, the cult of Jim Jones, Aum Shinrikyo, all driven as Islam is, by blind Faith, Fanaticism, and Fear. This cannot stand and should not stand. This is Not Islamophobia. This is resistance against Islamocide.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
Raymond S.G. Foster,
