OUR FACTURAL HISTORY

Druwayu, a polytheistic and philosophical religion, emerged in the digital age, shaped by its founder’s intellectual rigor and resistance to modern distorted and fictional spiritual narratives. Below is an organized history, tracing its origins, development, core beliefs, and digital footprint from 2008 to 2019, with key milestones up to 2025.

Origins

  • Founder and Context: Founded by Raymond Steven Gottlieb Foster (born January 10, 1973, Salem, Oregon), known as TalismanSkulls since 1996. Foster, ordained in 1999 by the Universal Life Church (Modesto, CA), received honorary Doctor of Divinity titles from the same organization shortly after and later from the Universal Life Church Monastery (Seattle, WA). Initially, Foster had no intention of starting a new religion, focusing on personal spiritual exploration through mythology, etymology, archeology, and sciences like physics and anthropology.

  • Inception: Formalized on January 1, 2014, Druwayu (“True Ways”) emerged from Foster’s rejection of revisionist spiritual narratives, particularly within Wiccan, Pagan, and Heathen communities, which he distanced himself from after recognizing their lack of cohesion, blurred boundaries, and “anything goes” mentality. Beginning predominantly in 2007, his work challenged feminist extremism and presentism, emphasizing evidence-based theology rooted in cultural traditions rather than the occultist frameworks that many in these communities failed to distinguish. Foster also critiqued parody religions, the Church of Satan, and the Satanic Temple, noting the hypocrisy of Wiccan, Pagan, and Heathen communities that claimed to reject these groups yet frequently shared their content.

  • Early Digital Presence: Foster’s ideas first appeared online in 2008 via 3covens.webs.com, though its history goes back much further, launched with a satirical greeting: “I am your host, Talisman Skulls. Warning all. I am Eccentric! I have been acquitted of being insane” (Foster, personal communication on 3covens.webs.com under the identity of TalismanSkulls, 2008). This reflected pushback against community resistance to his demonstrable etymological research on “Warlock” and “Witch,” supported by citations and obscure academic references, which challenged prevailing narratives with rigorous evidence.

Development

  • Naming Evolution:

    • 2008–2010: 3 Covens: Launched on Webs.com, evoking European triadic traditions and the Drikeyu (Three Keys). The name was abandoned as it failed to clarify the movement’s distinct identity.

    • 2010–2013: Sidutru: Renamed Sidutru (“Customary Truth,” later corrected to “Seats” from Sidu), exploring polytheism with one god and three goddesses. Shared on 3covens.webs.com and warlockplus.webs.com, with some parodic elements mocking community resistance.

    • 2013: The Drusidu: Drusidu (“True Seats”) designated the council of Elder and High Elder Warlocks and Witches, refining leadership structure.

    • 2014: Druwayu: Formalized as Druwayu, with adherents called Druans and “Druish” as a humorous cultural label. Development paused until the First Church of Druwayu (Online) was established on October 1, 2024.

  • Digital Platforms: Foster’s activity spanned GeoCities (1994–1995), Tripod (1995–1997) Angelfire (1996–2001),  MySpace (2005–2013), virtual worlds like Kaneva (2005–2016), Blue Mars (2009–2012), Second Life (2005–2013), and OSGrid (2007–2015), IMVU (four all of a week in total time around 2006-2009) and social media like Facebook, YouTube, and DeviantArt. Key posts on YouTube (2015) under “Sidutru” detailed sacred geometry and the “One and Three” concept.

  • Accidental Urban Legend Connection: Foster’s persona inspired the “Ghost Van of Cascade Hwy 213” legend (2014–2017), a fictional tale tied to his real-life van and Warlock aesthetic. Misinterpreted as paranormal, it spread on Reddit and paranormal blogs, teaching Foster the risks of exaggerated storytelling.

Core Beliefs and Practices

  • Theology: Druwayu embraces quadrotheism, with four deities (one primal God, three Goddesses) derived from sacred geometry—an octahedron (masculine) spinning three spherical rings (feminine). Spiritual beings are termed Wights, akin to Vaettir or Fairies.

  • Drikeyu (Three Keys):

    • Worloga: Cosmic laws governing fate.

    • Wyrda: Reciprocal dynamics allowing limited free will.

    • Wihas: Eternal essence unifying existence.

  • Universal Holiness: All existence is holy, as “holy” and “heal” denote wholeness.

  • Practices: Dynamic rituals include Monday Night Pizza as communion, sacred arts (heavy metal music, dance, strip teases), and community engagement based on 1980s and 1990s Pizza and Metal sub-culture. Formal attire blends biker and occult aesthetics. Humor and self-parody are central, but Druwayu is not a parody of other faiths.

  • Clergy and Membership: The Drusidu (council of Elder Warlocks and Witches) oversees the faith. Warlocks and Witches serve as clergy, Druans as active members. Membership requires only recognition of Drusidu authority and participation.

  • Rejections: Druwayu opposes feminist extremism, presentism, and monotheistic labels, rejecting terms like Druwayury, Paganism, or occultism.

Digital Footprint and Community (2008–2019)

  • PaganSpace and Resistance: Foster engaged on PaganSpace (2008–2019), a hub for occult discussions, but faced resistance to his evidence-based critiques of “Warlock” and “Witch” etymology. No direct PaganSpace records of TalismanSkulls or Druwayu were found, likely due to moderation, community purges, or archival loss (PaganSpace shutdown, Webs.com closure in 2023).

  • Other Platforms:

    • New Religion Wiki: Documents Sidutruism and Druwayu, confirming quadrotheism and 2014 formalization.

    • Pinterest and DeviantArt: TalismanSkulls shared art and concepts (2010–2019), including “Spectral Trident” and sacred geometry motifs.

    • YouTube (2015): Videos like “Sacred Geometry is Not Monotheistic” (June 6, 2015) and a Worloga-Wyrda-Wahas discussion (July 2, 2015) outlined Druwayu’s theology.

    • Virtual Worlds: Kaneva’s “Naked Pagans, Party in my Hat, and The Down Below Realm” (2015) and Second Life’s “Drikeyu Amulet” (2012) tied to Drikeyu concepts.

  • Community Growth: The Northwest Warlocks & Witches Facebook group (2019, 257 members) and the First Church of Druwayu website (2024) fostered community. Druwayu remains small, centered in Oregon, with selective openness to like-minded individuals.

Key Milestones

  • 2015: Declared the “True Religion” on June 25, 2015, emphasizing linguistic precision against slander.

  • 2024: First Church of Druwayu (Online) established on October 1, 2024, with Foster as the First True Warlock, ensuring legacy amid failing health.

  • 2025: Druwayu continues as a niche movement, resilient despite digital ephemerality, with Foster’s art and 3D modeling supporting its visibility.

Conclusion

Druwayu, formalized in 2014 by Raymond S. G. Foster (TalismanSkulls), evolved from 3 Covens (2008) to Sidutru (2010–2013) to a quadrotheistic faith rooted in sacred geometry and the Drikeyu. Despite no initial plan to start a religion after his 1999 ordination and honorary Doctor of Divinity recognitions, Foster’s critique of revisionist narratives and community hypocrisy led to Druwayu’s creation.

Facing pushback on platforms like PaganSpace, he leveraged virtual worlds, social media, and art to spread its fact-driven ethos. Despite archival gaps, Druwayu’s legacy endures through the 2024 First Church of Druwayu (Online), reflecting its commitment to truth, humor, and spiritual authenticity.

Note: Archival challenges (e.g., Webs.com shutdown, PaganSpace purges) limit primary sources. Foster’s testimony, New Religion Wiki, and scattered digital records (YouTube, DeviantArt) provide core evidence. The “Ghost Van” legend underscores Druwayu’s cultural impact and Foster’s lesson in narrative control and searching for od references specific to the online personal TalismanSkulls (not Talisman Skulls).

  • Platforms like MySpace, Kaneva (closed 2016), and Webs.com (subdomains shut down 2023) have limited surviving records, reducing traceable references, such as in the case of such locations as PaganSpace archives (2008–2019), likely due to moderation, purges, or low engagement.

  • Foster’s work is niche, limiting mainstream visibility. References to titles such as Arch Warlock: Prominently used in 2015 on YouTube, Facebook, and Tumblr, reflect Foster’s persona development during Druwayu’s theological articulation, moving into the honorary title of True Warlock and finalizing as the High Elder Warlock over this period of adaptation and evolution.

Considerations to be noted:

  • Moderation: PaganSpace’s curtailed TalismanSkulls’ posts in open discussions with other members (PaganSpace Official Website, n.d.), the contents of which have been erased since 2017.

  • Archival Loss: Webs.com’s 2023 shutdown and limited Wayback Machine captures erased 3covens.webs.com and related records (Webs, 2023; Archive.org, 2025).

  • Niche Status: Druwayu’s focus on evidence-based theology may have limited its appeal in PaganSpace’s eclectic community (TalismanSkulls, personal communication, 2015).

  • Community Resistance: TalismanSkulls testimony of pushback from moderators and banning supporters aligns with PaganSpace’s dynamics and later schisms, where novel ideas faced skepticism, misrepresentation and file corruptions, explaining the sarcastic greeting on the former 3covens.webs.com website (TalismanSkulls, personal communication located from postdate: 2010).

Theological Foundations

  • Quadrotheism: Evidence of Four deities (one primal God, three Goddesses) emerge from Sacred Geometry—an octahedron (masculine) spinning three spherical rings (feminine), spawning eternal laws (Foster, personal communication, oldest possible reference, angelfire.com sub domain, 1996-2000). YouTube: visual representation of the essential core concepts of the One and Three was posted Jun 6, 2015, under alternative name of ArchWarlock, the title Sacred Geomtery is Not Monotheistic.

  • Drikeyu: Inflexible predetermination (Worloga), limited but flexible free will (Wyrda), and Wihas as the universal essence uncaused and uncreated power (Foster, WordPress, the Drikeyu, 2014).

  • Universal Holiness: All is holy, as “holy” and “heal” mean wholeness, unifying existence (Foster, personal communication, First Church of Druwayu, 2024).

  • Practices: Dynamic rituals, sacred arts (music, dance), and community engagement welcoming creative expression without rigid rules (Foster, personal communication, 2024).

  • Rejection of Modern Social Myths: Foster torched feminist extremism and presentism, demanding real history over revisionist narratives (Foster, personal communication, 2025).

Significance and Legacy

Druwayu’s evolution, from 3 Covens to Druwayu, reflects a relentless pursuit of truth, navigating digital gatekeeping, while also demonstrating a creative mind and interest in history, art and culture, as well as various sciences and philosophies. Sidutru/Sidutruism shaped its quadrotheism, with Sacred Geometry providing clarity (New Religion Wiki, 2013). The 2024 First Church of Druwayu (Online) ensures its future, with Foster as the First True Warlock (Druwayu,2014.). The absence of PaganSpace archives underscores the fragility of digital NRMs, urging proactive preservation.

NOTE ON THE INFAMOUS GHOST STORY

Aside from the various sites it has been spread, rewritten and distorted by the following provides a table of key findings (concepts) and proceeds to provide the original story as it was preserved on an old flash drive and preserved here. Do note, this was not intended to be part of the Druwayu narrative or invented mythology but rather an introduction/background story for the virtual persona in various 3D world environments.  In other words, it was a background to help with character development.

ORIGINAL DRAFT (MAY 17, 2009) BY RAYMOND F.

The Tale of TalismanSkulls

In the misty expanses of Oregon’s highways, where the damp air clings to the pavement and the dawn hours blur the line between reality and the ethereal, a chilling legend has taken root. Since 2003, whispers of a spectral figure known as TalismanSkulls—often called Talis—have grown louder, his presence marked by an eerie entourage that haunts the roads from southern Oregon to the coast and into South Washington. This is no ordinary ghost story; it is a tale of a formidable entity whose appearances defy logic, leaving those who encounter him shaken, ill, and forever changed.

Talis cuts a striking figure, a towering 6’5” phantom with a stocky, heavy-set build—estimated at 280 pounds if he were alive—appearing to be in his late 30s or early 40s. His pale, grayish-blue skin and long, unkempt auburn hair frame a ruggedly handsome face, often set in a stern expression. A handlebar mustache adorns his upper lip, but when anger flashes across his features, witnesses report seeing long, saber-like fangs, and his raging roar echoes like that of a bear blasting through the air.

Talis’s attire is as distinctive as his presence: a black top hat adorned with small bull horns and a skull, paired with a pirate-style black bandanna. A long, open black leather duster reveals a burgundy dress shirt over a black T-shirt, loose blue jeans, and combat boots. His studded leather belt bears a skull-and-crossbones buckle, and biker gloves and studded bracers cover his four arms—an unsettling detail that defies human anatomy. Dark sunglasses often shield his eyes, though some claim that when he removes them, only hollow blackness remains where eyes should be. A wallet chain with skull heads dangles from his left hip, and a necklace of carved bone skulls completes his macabre ensemble.

Talis is rarely alone. Since 2006, two female ghosts have been seen in his company, both appearing as attractive women in their mid-to-late 20s, dressed in early 90s goth or biker chick style—one a blonde, the other a brunette. Before 2006, Talis appeared with a camouflage-painted 1-ton Dodge Van, first noted in 2004, and since 2003, two massive, shaggy black wolves—sometimes called black dogs—have accompanied him, their howls and barks often heralding his arrival. The van itself is a spectral marvel, emerging silently from nowhere, its greenish-blue headlights and fog billowing beneath it like ghostly fire. Heavy metal music blares from within, only to fade as the van vanishes into thin air.

Encounters with Talis and his entourage are as varied as they are unsettling. Drivers on highways like 213 and 99E report the van appearing behind them, its lights flickering as their own vehicle’s radio stations change and lights dim. Some have had their engines die, only to restart after the van passes and disappears. Others have seen Talis walking alone along the road, turning to reveal his hollow eye sockets when headlights catch him. The women sometimes appear in the middle of the road—one lying as if struck, the other leaning over her—only to transform into half-rotted corpses or skeletal figures in tattered clothing before fading away. Truck drivers recount the wolves leaping at their windshields, forcing them to swerve dangerously close to the edge of the road.

The earliest sightings of Talis date back to 2003 near Portland, initially with just the wolves, then the van in 2004, and the women joining by 2006. Reports span from southern Oregon to the coast and South Washington, with no sightings in eastern Oregon. These apparitions often appear during rain, most commonly between 4 a.m. and 7 a.m., or just before midnight, showing no seasonal pattern. Unlike typical ghosts, Talis and his companions are fully aware of their surroundings, appearing solid rather than transparent. Law enforcement has chased the van on Hwy 213 and 99E, clocking it at nearly 100 miles per hour, only for it to vanish around a corner. Some drivers warn that if you don’t pull over to let the van pass, it will pursue you at high speeds, playing a deadly game of chicken—unless you cross a bridge over running water, where it seems unable to follow.

The physical toll of encountering Talis is profound. Witnesses report extreme fatigue, sickness, strange rashes, and a lingering chill that lasts for weeks, with physical weakness persisting for months. One anonymous driver near Santiam and Molalla, Oregon, recounted a harrowing chase by the van, his radio going haywire until the vehicle vanished just before a police officer pulled him over for speeding. When he explained the camouflage van had chased him, the officer’s expression turned grave; he issued a warning to drive safely and sped off, as if in pursuit of the phantom.

TalismanSkulls, or Talis, remains an enigma—a spectral figure whose origins, purpose, and nature elude understanding. Is he a vengeful spirit, a guardian of the highways, a Warlock of some kind, or something far more sinister? As sightings continue to haunt Oregon’s roads, Talis stands as a spectral sentinel, his story a gateway to the mysteries of the man behind the legend and a land with many strange secrets and deeper mysteries. Perhaps you may be one of the lucky (or unlucky) few to encounter him or one of his eternal companions firsthand.

NOW IT'S CLEAR AND HOPEFULLY OTHERS WILL MAKE IT CLEAR IT WAS JUST A STORY

WHAT PEOPLE REPORT NOW

Geographic and Temporal Patterns: Sightings are primarily along Cascade Hwy 213, which runs through the eastern Willamette Valley from Portland to Salem, with specific mentions near Liberal, Mulino, and Molalla. The 2010 comment places an incident near Blackman's at the intersection of Hwy 213 and 211, which is Main Street in Molalla, providing a direct link to the location. The phenomenon is said to appear most commonly during rain, between 4 a.m. and 7 a.m., or just before midnight, with no seasonal limitations, as per later accounts. Unlike typical ghosts, the entity and its entourage are fully aware of their surroundings, appearing solid rather than transparent.

Physical and Psychological Effects: Witnesses report significant after-effects, including extreme fatigue, sickness, strange rashes, and a lingering cold sensation that lasts weeks, with physical weakness persisting for months. The 2010 comment notes the witnesses felt freaked out and crashed at a friend's house, with one phone appearing dead before being fully charged, adding to the legend's impact.

Remember, it was just for a character background story, for a virtual world, that no longer exists.
