The First Church of Druwayu is based in a deep respect for all religious beliefs and traditions for the most part. We value the rich diversity of spiritual perspectives and actively foster an environment where individuals can explore their faith freely and without judgment. We do consider those who use terms like "cultural appropriation" as one of many excuses to maintain and perpetuate generalized bigotry, as a cover for often racist and separatist idiocy, puritanical nonsense that simply does recognize the real history that people with mixed cultural background do eventually evolve together.

To make it clear, we at Druwayu stand firmly against any form of extremist bigotry, occult practices, or parody movements that seek to misuse the principle of religious freedom to attack and undermine genuine religious expression and spiritual experience. Our commitment to promoting rational thinking, compassion, and mutual respect ensures that our community remains a safe and inclusive space for meaningful dialogue and spiritual growth. This is a core value at Druwayu. By adhering to these principles, we strive to cultivate a culture of understanding and solidarity, rejecting any actions or ideologies that seek to harm or divide. Our dedication is unwavering in building a community where intellect, humor, and genuine connection thrive. We aim to uphold the dignity and rights of all individuals while fostering a respectful and harmonious coexistence. Together, we can create an environment where everyone feels valued and respected, free from intolerance and divisiveness.

KEY POINTS

Many of our members have grown disillusioned with various identities such as Paganism and Heathenry due to the prevalence of paranoid persecution complexes, misinformation, fraud, and more. They have chosen to reject these associations while still embracing a diverse and polytheistic spirituality. Similarly, we recognize that issues like extremist bigotry, misinformation, and fraud are not confined to Paganism and Heathenry alone. Zionism, Christianity, and Islam have also faced challenges with extremist factions that distort their core teachings and values. We stand firmly against any form of extremist bigotry, occult practices, or parody movements that seek to misuse the principle of religious freedom to attack and undermine genuine religious expression and spiritual experience.

Identified Problems:

Extremist Bigotry:

  • Extremist factions within religions like Christianity (e.g., Westboro Baptist Church), Islam (e.g., ISIS), and Hinduism (e.g., Hindutva) have distorted core teachings to promote hatred and violence.

Misinformation and Fraud:

  • Across various religions, misinformation and fraudulent practices have misled followers and caused disillusionment.

Parody Movements:

  • Parody movements that misuse religious freedom to attack and undermine genuine religious expression.

Occult Practices:

  • Occult practices that deviate from established religious and spiritual traditions.

Misandry and Misogyny:

  • Gender-based discrimination within religious practices and ideologies.

Extremism in Indigenous Cultures:

  • Extremist actions within indigenous spiritual practices leading to intolerance.

Militant Atheism:

  • Extremist actions and views promoted by certain militant atheist movements.

Historical Dangerous Cults:

  • Notorious cults like the People's Temple, Heaven's Gate, and the Manson Family have manipulated members into following dangerous doctrines, leading to mass suicides or murders.

Violence Committed by Wiccans and Heathens:

  • Instances of violence committed by individuals identifying as Wiccans or Heathens, such as ritualistic killings and other crimes. Notable cases include Angela Sanford, who was charged with the 2010 murder of Joel Leyva during a ritualistic killing, and Lawrence Harris, who was sentenced to life in prison for the murder of his stepdaughters, which he claimed was the result of a spell gone wrong.

At Druwayu, we believe in promoting rational thinking, compassion, and mutual respect. Our commitment to these principles ensures that our community remains a safe and inclusive space for meaningful dialogue and spiritual growth. We reject any actions or ideologies that seek to harm or divide, including the foolishness of any form of Satanism that seeks to parody or undermine genuine spiritual practices. By adhering to these values, we strive to cultivate a culture of understanding and solidarity, where intellect, humor, and genuine connections thrive.

We aim to counter these issues by creating a space where individuals can:

  • Explore their beliefs.

  • Engage in meaningful discussions.

  • Find a sense of shared strength in mutual belonging.

Together, we can create an environment where everyone feels valued and respected, free from pointless bickering or violence and instead be decisive in maintaining a space for meaningful dialogue and mutual spiritual growth. Indeed, out paths may be different, and unlike others, we do not believe or claim all paths lead to the same source, and they don't have to, and that is its own point. We can either learn from one another and grow perpetually or remain stagnant which only leads to extinction. Druans are those that rather plant the seeds and see them grow into endless generations of forests.
