WHY I CREATED DRUWAYU ORIGINALLY
Simply put, back in the late 1980s I grew more and more fed up with the extremist feminist anti-male sexist gibberish and hypocrisy that was especially being pushed by the so called Wica/Wicca/Wikah thing and its fake history and bad etymology and it using all the anti-male bigotry based on other misrepresentations of actual history as justification for the anti-male toxic feminist rhetoric and imposed presentism. What particularly annoyed me about it all is its history of hijacking and imposing itself upon everything else and claiming to be "ancient."
NAMING HISTORY
-
Originally the organization I was creating was called 3 Covens in part to give it more of a European sounding Flare back in 2008 and was abandoned in 2010. All the basic concepts for the theology and philosophy aspects were in place. The Drikeyu as cosmological principles was established by 2009 and codified by 2010.
-
In 2010 it was renamed Sidutru, however, because the etymology claiming Sidu means customs is actually false and in reality means Seats when the intention of naming was to be "Customary Truth" as a moral and ethical guideline from the very beginning.
-
It lasted from 2010 till 2013 which is when the correct etymology was unlocked purely by circumstance when looking up information to the naming of the so called Holy See which was based on Sanctus Sedes in the 7th century CE, and where Sedes is also presented as Sed, and akin to Seat and Sit from Sid and Sidu.
-
In correction of the error the spelling was reversed as Trusidu and then applied by the Gaulish form of True as Dru. This The Drusidu as a term for the council was born.
-
Using Dru as the base word I created the name Druwayu as the name for the religion meaning True Ways based on the previous intentions, so by January 1, 2014 I composed the name Druwayu, applied the name for a common member as a Druan (True One) and instead of making the Plural Druanu, I chose to go with Druans.
-
I later determined to play off an old pun which can be found in the FAQs number 19 as to why I went with referring to the culture as Druish.
-
I had already long since established that the titles of the clergy members were going to be Warlocks for Men and Witches for Women and applying the added title of elder if they have a seat in the primary council of the Drusidu as the administrative body of the Church and custodianship of the overall culture.
IT SHOWED ITS OWN PATTERNS
As the results of my research and cross referencing and investigations brought more and more to the surface and discounted all the other nonsense in the process, an inadvertent pattern started showing itself. The results of these patterns also began to compliment one another in ways that were unexpected and certainly not what I was looking for in the first place.
-
The first of these was the recognition of four main deities rather than a monotheism, duotheism, tritheism and so fourth and instead a very clear quadrotheism as the foundation. This made itself most apparent when actually paying closer attention to the usual bits of so called Sacred Geometry and the various sources trying to make it fit several things it simply does not fit with.
-
The second of these was the recognition of the usual association with the concepts of eternal laws usually linked with fate and destiny, but also the concept of reciprocal dynamics that is associated with autonomous self determination and free will, though with eventual consequences. The missing element was of course the concept of an essential essence of which all things are and were composed and turned out the only reason it went missing is most tended to ignore the concept properly.
-
Once all three were finally sorted out it inadvertently complimented the previous concepts of the quadrotheistic form of polytheism but also other diverse concepts such as reincarnation and life after death as well as a host of other things that aligned with the theology, philosophy and even the basic foundations of common natural observations and sciences of such as physics. Finding how these aligned to the various holidays and conceptualized calendars of seasonal cycles properly was the ridiculously easy part and discounted much of what has become commonly thrust in everyone's face.
FINALIZING ITS STRUCTURE
It was all more than enough to lay the basic foundations for an actual culture and religion even though that was not my original intention and so to keep it from all being an excessively brainy thing which simply does not appeal to most for various reasons, I created the basic concepts of teachings of various morals and ethics, most of which theists, atheists and agnostics usually agree on to one degree or another even if they seldom care to admit it and rather gripe about other things they have rehashed with no resolution to, and I added the more entertaining elements of Pizza, Metal and Stripping as sacred food and sacred arts which also has its own actual history of actually being tied together. That became the basis for the motto:
We embrace Logic, Humor and Absurdity!
